Guruji urges people to lead healthy lives in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 6: Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar shared his vision of a healthy life and a stable mind at a healthcare conference held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Saturday.

Educating people on health and mind, Ravi Shankar said the word 'health' in Sanskrit means 'an enlightened being'.

"The word health in Sanskrit means enlighten being. 'Swasti' means one who established in self. One who is in oneself is called one who is healthy and what are the signs of being in oneself like what I see here, enthusiasm," he said.

Further talking about the characteristics of health, Ravi Shankar said that enthusiasm and total attention are the two characters of good health.

"The mindfulness is the second character of health, one is enthusiasm. When you are so enthusiastic that's it nothing can shake you. The second is total attention, mindfulness in anything that you are trying," he said, and added that to be alert and relaxed is enlightenment. News Courtesy Daily India.com
