The Ayurveda Congress the Chief Minister of Karnataka announced the setting up of the Karnataka Ayurveda University, All India Institute of Ayush at the cost of Rs10 crore with support from the Centre.
The chief guest of the occasion, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living Foundation, said that ayurveda which was once a part of every household had now become a dying science. A 3,000-year old science must not be brushed aside, he said. “If we protect Ayurveda, Ayurveda will protect us,” said Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
