Sri Sri Ravishankar meets Naveen



Bhubaneswar, Nov 21 (PTI) Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar today met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who recently suffered a ligament injury, at his residence here. "I enquired about the Chief Minister's health. We also discussed different welfare programmes launched by the state government," Ravishankar told reporters after the meeting. Patnaik has been confined to his residence after he sustained Grade-1 tear in the ligament of his right ankle after he fell down while taking a stroll on the lawns of his residence last Tuesday. Praising the state government's recently launched programme for the pregnant and nursing mothers, Ravishankar said it would help lakhs of rural women. Mamata Scheme has provision of state's assistance of Rs 5,000 to each pregnant and lactating mothers, if they follow guidelines like taking immunisations at regular interval. Besides attending a 'satsang', the spiritual guru was also scheduled to review progress of the proposed Sri Sri University near Cuttack. Read More
