Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of the Art of Living Foundation, will meet Naxalite leaders lodged in Latehar jail tomorrow and motivate them to give up the armed struggle and instead follow the path of Satyagraha.
The guru sees the rapid spread of Naxalism in the state as a by-product of increasing corruption. “To a great extent, the struggle of Naxalites is right. Corruption runs so deep in this state that poor villagers do not get any benefits of development schemes. Disappointed, they turn to violent ways to protest,” pointed out the guru.
But he did not forget to condemn the rebels for their violent activities and urged them to practice Satyagraha. “Tomorrow, I am going to Latehar jail. I will meet the Naxalite leaders and discuss the issue with them,” said the guru. Read More
